Green Light Means Go!

Tim-Tim 2: "The Almighy Gnome" has been greenlit on steam!
This has caused things to be changed up a bit. Though Dungeon Bout is not canceled, it is being delayed so Tim-Tim 2 can be released as soon as possible. I'm expecting an early 2017 release, but I have no hard deadline at the moment.
For those of you that don't know, Tim-Tim 2: "The Almighty Gnome" is a sidescroller game mixed with an rpg. It's been listed under the genre, Metroid-vania. You play as a gnome named Tim-Tim who collects items, defeats monsters and explores dungeons.

Things are starting back up!

Things are finally starting back up after a long period of nothing. Dungeon Bout is still the main focus of development here. It's been released for testing HERE. Only the 2 player vs mode is availible right now, but the story mode is well underway.

Four worlds with 7 stages each are currently planned with an arena mode unlocked after for player vs computer matches after the story mode is over. As far as unlockables go, they are still being planned out, but there should be a good amount when the game is complete.

There's still no release date, but hopefully things will be at least mostly done by the end of the year.

Greenlight This! Tim-Tim 2: "The Almighty Gnome"

I have a game on Steam Greenlight!
In this game, you play as Tim-Tim, a gnome wizard on a quest to battle Satan. Tim-Tim has to collect spells, items and gold in order to become powerful enough to stop the hordes of demon dinosaurs from overwhelming his home. Tim-Tim is sent from the clouds by a large bearded man to find out what has changed to cause all these demon related attacks.
Head over to Steam Greenlight to show your support!

Graffiti Goose

Graffiti Goose, a game I worked heavily on, has been released. As I've mentioned before, it's a paint based puzzle game. The goal is to combine colors while staying in the boundaries and not making brown. This was a joint venture with Red Triangle Games, a small gaming company like my own. The game is available on Android Devices through the Google Play market place.

Current Events

I'm going to be a dad!
That's not the normal news I post on this blog, but it does give some insight as to the progress of Spoonweaver Studios' projects.

The first thing I'd like to bring up is the pixel art book I've contributed to. This is a book put together by Studio Momo. I'm not one to normally call myself an artist, but some people seem to think otherwise. Anyways, the book can be found on Amazon. It costs about $18 (US). I wasn't too happy with that information myself, but it's Studio Momo's first book so let's all give them a chance.

Next, there's a little project currently being called Graffiti Goose. This is a game I'm working on with Red Triangle Games. It's basically a puzzle game that involves painting and combining colors and should be available for Android in a month or two. Pictured to the left is a rough sketch of the HUD produced by Red Triangle Games.

Troll Over

I made this game for the 2014 Indie Game Maker Contest found here.
The game's contest entry page can be found here:
http://contest.rpgmakerweb.com/game/view/id/478#.U7Gn_bGFdQU
Please visit the page, comment, and vote.

Troll Over is an RPG where you play as a troll. He find a human knocked out in the woods and decides to befriend the human. Together they venture forth and have adventures, such as seeking out an evil warlock to join his evil army. Troll Over is designed to be different then normal rpgs in a lot of little ways. I hope you enjoy it.

Iron Galaxy (Pre-Alpha)

Iron Galaxy is a game I'm currently working on with the help from a very talented artist. He likes to go by the handle Blasted Earth and is relatively unknown as an indie game graphic artist despite being very talented.
The game centers around mech pilots (Mechs being giant robots). In the game you control squads of mechs on a grid and fight enemies in a tradition rpg style. There are currently 25 mechs planned as well as 6 main ships, 10 mini games and 50+ levels.
Unlike my previous projects, we're aiming to make Iron Galaxy as well known as possible. This includes trying our hand at Kickstarter, Steam Greenlight, Press Releases, as well as multiple platform ports.
The game is available in a pre-alpha state for a limited time. The plan is to leave it available like this until the end of June in order to get valuable feedback on the game before moving forward with the project.

-Only available for a limited time.

I've just published Slimemancy on Android. It should be available for purchase on both Amazon and Google Play.

It costs .99 cents, so I hope you'll buy it.
Thanks for the interest.

Code Name: Kruntovas

So,work has been pretty solid on my newest game that I'm currently calling Kruntovas. As you can see on the left here, the world map is done. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. I've also done a lot of graphical work on the characters and the backgrounds.
A lot of the programming still needs to be done though, and not many of the hundreds of monsters and other obstacles planned have been done at all. Also, the intro needs tons of work, the menu system isn't really working yet, and the characters don't have working stats.
However, things are going smoother than most of my projects have been going for almost a year now. I don't know if I've just got a sudden surge of passion for game making or if I just really like this particular game but whatever the case, this game is actually ahead of schedule. Don't expect it to be rearing it's crazy little head any time soon mind you, but there's a good chance it will be complete by the end of next year at the very latest.
Let's hope I can keep up my pace and have this thing in "stores" in time for Christmas.

Cat in Box

This is another one of my games that began it's life as a sort of joke. I guess I start a lot of my games like that. Anyways, this game kind of a play off of the popularity of internet stuff involving cats in boxes. The idea is that even if the game is super basic and has no real gameplay value, people will still play it and potentially even pay for it.
The game turned out to be surprisingly entertaining. People have commented that the game is much more addicting then I ever thought it would be. What should be a 2-3 minute gameplay experience ends up being multi-hour time sink. I guess you could say my plan worked better than I thought it would.

Questicle

A small game full of Questicular Fortitude. I made this game for a contest that required developers to make little games. Don't expect much here. The screenshot to the left here should basically explain the whole game. Spacebar is the only button used. Have Fun!

Kinvesard

Right now I'm working on a Game called Kinvesard. I entered a demo of it into a small contest, along with another game I'm working on. Anyways, I figured I should post it up here too. Enjoy!

Legendary Heroes

So, I've been working on and off on this game I call, Legendary Heroes, for years now. It's basically my pet project. Anyways, I entered a demo of it into a small contest. So,  I figured I post about it on here too.

Clam Digger

For a while now I've been thinking of making this game. If you don't know, this game is modeled after a game description from the cartoon Aqua Teen Hunger Force. The idea is pretty wacky and I couldn't help think of how such a game would actually work. The game was never really meant to be playable when Meatwad described it in the show and was in fact meant as a jokingly bad game. However, I thought it might be fun to make it. The suggestions from some friends and a well timed game contest really created the perfect time for me to make this game. Have Fun!

Dreadful Occupant

This is a game I made with help from my friend Master K (real name unknown). I really like how this one turned out given the fact we only had a week to work on it for the contest we were entering. This game is about a guy trap in his own house with a ghost. You have to help him escape by finding items he may need and helping him hide when the ghost is coming. This game may be too terrifying for young players.

Escape the Zombie Horde

This is my entry into Ludum Dare 21, and the 2011 OHRRPGCE 48 contest.
I made it in 24hr instead of the 48hr's given for the contest. I was really busy that weekend, but wanted to enter anyways.
It's a Oregon Trail-like game with a zombie twist. Can you reach the military base before the zombies catch up to you?
You can view my Ludum Dare 21 entry page HERE.

Unfinished Games

I've released several games on the internet that weren't completely done. These games were either lacking in polish or just lacking in content. Some are lacking in both and then some. Anyways, for whatever reason they ended up getting released and are circling the internet for all to play. Here they are in no real order.

Automagically! Bizzaro Carnival in Salad Kingdom

This game is a platformer in much the same fashion as my Tim-Tim "The Mighty Gnome" game. I tried a few new things out on this game, but I didn't ever really give the player any sort of challenge. There's also no real plot to be found, and the game just sort of ends when you reach a cake.

Light Fight

This game is in the style of one of those old beat 'em up games, like double dragon or streets of rage. It's super simplistic and doesn't even feature jump and kicking at the same time. You can't progress in the stage and your only real goal is to gain points till you die.

Turkey Killer

This is a game were you go around shooting turkeys till time runs out. There's a highscore saved and you can compete with friends to see who can kill the most turkeys. There was never a bigger plan for this game and it's actually complete, it's just such a simplistic game that I don't really consider it a complete game.

Spoonweaver

Spoonweaver is a bad PacMan clone. I don't know why I'd give such a terrible game my user name, but I did. This game is really imcomplete, but you might find it fun. Like Turkey Killer it has a highscore system.

Somekindaninja

This game was going to be a Zelda-like game. It's only really got the basic Zelda-like functions, and some really bad graphics.

Babies (vs) Robots

This is a RTS ( real time strategy ). I made this game for a terrible game contest, and never really planned to take it any farther then it already is. There's a scoring system and you can even win, isn't that all you need?

Tim-Tim "The Mighty Gnome"

Tim-Tim "The Mighty Gnome" is a platformer based off of a Dungeons and Dragons character I made once. This is the first platformer I ever made. The idea behind it was to give the people somewhat of a megaman experience without subjecting them to all the menus.

Slimes

Slimes, slimes, and even more slimes ...
This is my most popular game to date. In Slimes! you must guide the group of slimes in each level to the exit through use of various tools. Slimes has seen thousands of plays worldwide. People really seem to like this one which is awesome. Thank you, everyone, for all your positive feedback. Slimes wins!

House Escape

Avoid Ghosts, Zombies and Skeletons while trying to make it out of the maze-like house, ALIVE.
